Let’s Celebrate: National Cheese Fondue Day

Two things were very important while growing up in the Hahn household: cheese and bread. So, when we discovered that today is National Cheese Fondue Day we knew we needed to celebrate! Here is our family’s recipe for cheese fondue (best served with steamed broccoli, sliced apples, and bread, of course).

You’ll need:

  • one can of Campbells Cheddar Cheese Soup
  • about 3/4 cup of milk
  • 8-12 oz shredded cheese (we used a combination of Swiss, cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan)
  • pepper
  • nutmeg

Toss everything in a pot and cook on low/medium heat until the cheese is melted – adding pepper and nutmeg at the end. Then cut up your bread, slice the apple, cook the broccoli, and you’re ready to celebrate. You don’t even need to feel guilty, because you’re eating broccoli and an apple for dinner. 🙂
