Baked Brie

baked brie. 2. Flats to LoftsMy talented father made all of the food that Andrew and I  had at our wedding (5 years ago next week). One of my favorites is his baked brie. And the best part is that it’s super easy.

All you need is a wheel of brie, phyllo dough, cranberries, almonds, and some butter. {Brown sugar and/or honey are optional additions depending on what kind of cranberries you use.}

Step 1: Cut brie in half and place a few cranberries, almonds and either a spoonful of brown sugar or a bit of honey inside.

Step 2: Place 1-2 pieces of phyllo dough on your cutting board and brush with some melted butter.

Step 4: Wrap brie  in 5-7 layers of phyllo dough {making sure to butter each layer}. Sprinkle cranberries & almonds as you go.baked brie. Flats to Lofts

Step 5: Place brie in baking dish lined with parchment paper & top with a few more cranberries & almonds.

Step 6: Bake at 350-375 for 20-30 minutes.

  1. yum! That sounds delish – I usually do mine with sauteed mushrooms (with marjoram) placed in the center of the cheese with puff pastry dough. I like the flaky phyllo idea though…
